I love, laugh, cry, write
Wonder, dream, imagine, write
Experience, learn, teach, write
Look to the future
Remember the past
Cherish loved ones
I live, then I write
Mother's Words
Mother’s words
Comforted when I was sad
Encouraged when I was unsure
Scolded when I needed it
Mother’s words
Lifted me when I fell down
Congratulated my accomplishments
Warned of impending danger
Taught me right from wrong
Mother’s words
Went unheard in my teen years
Advised a young bride
Reassured a new mother
Inspired me as a woman
Mother’s words
Were repeated by me often
And passed on to my children
Who use them now, like an echo
On me
